MARENOSTRUM POP UP- RESTAURANT
A GENUINE SPANISH RESTAURANT IN HELSINKI
Schools from Spain, Italy,
Finland and Latvia joined with Erasmus+ programme are creating an amazing POP
UP Restaurant of Spanish food called MareNostrum.
The project has the support and expertise of restaurant entrepreneur Can Comas
who will bring their most special recipes and their Mediterranean warmth to
Helsinki between 25-31/1/2015.
A total group of 30 students and 12 teachers from business
and culinary schools together with restaurant entrepreneurs and chefs from four European countries gathered
together in Helsinki to the Kick off of an inspiring, practical and encouraging
new pedagogical learning model of entrepreneurship by creating a unique Spanish
restaurant that will offer its delicacies to the public of Helsinki during 2
days.
The students in business schools designed all the
pop-up restaurant from 0 to 100. They created the operative concepts, the
visual set ups of MareNostrum Restaurant and worked out the founding of
the company. Culinary school students will work under the guidelines of Can
Comas Barcelona and Juuri Helsinki, experts and chefs to develop the
Mediterranean recipes and serve it to you by meticulously trained European
hospitality students.
“When
teachers from the four different countries sent their proposal to us, we
thought it was one of the most original of the last years. We definitely wanted
to see this initiative come true so decided to give it full support. Now we cannot wait to taste their cuisine.
This project sounds delicious”, said CIMO representative at the kick off
meeting for this Erasmus+ cooperation.
You will be able to
see the stunning MareNostrum
restaurant and taste the rich flavors of their menus that evoke the essence of
the Mediterranean region in an atmosphere that will make you feel far away from
the cold as soon as you step in. Do not
miss the opportunity to visit it and enjoy the kindness and warmth of the
Spanish culture on 28th and 29th January at Perho
Culinary School both for lunch and dinner time.
