Mum's visit & ,,Dachau"

Heute Meine Mutter ist nach München gekommen!
Last night, I couldn't sleep too much (only two hours) and that was because yesterday I got to work till too late and then I had to clean all my room and wash some clothes because... Because today at 8 o'clock my mum arrived to the city!

I'm very happy cause now I can show her all I've seen and I can teach her some german words now she's here. By the way she learned how to say 'Hello' = Hallo, 'Thank you' = Danke Schön, and 'Good morning' = Guten Morgen. Ah!!! and 'Caution' = Achtung!

I woke up too early and once I picked them (my mum and my stiefvater) we went to the hotel which is next to the hauptbahnhof and then we take the train again to ,,Dachau'' (pronounced  "Dajau")

Here, we visited the 'Dachau concentration camp' that was the first Nazi concentration camp opened in Germany. It was opened 22 March 1933 (51 days after Hitler took power) and it was the first regular concentration camp established by the coalition government of the National Socialist Party (Nazi Party). Heinrich Himmler, then Chief of Police of Munich, officially described the camp as 'The first concentration camp for political prisioners'.
It was made with an accommodation for 5000 people, but the truth is that there were more than 25000 (3 times more over its capacity).

Between 1945 and 1948 when the camp was handed over to the Bavarian authorities, many accused war criminals and members of the SS were imprisioned at the camp, and former prisoners banded together to erect a memorial on the site of the camp, finding it unbelievable that there were still people (refugees) living in the former camp.
The memorial includes four chapels for the various religions represented among the prisioners.

German people is not proud of this cathastrophy, but they keep those concentration camps because of the memory of who died there inside of them.
Last year, I visited Sachsenhausen concentration camp located at sud of Berlin, and be in another one again, it still makes me feel sad and it still makes my hair stand on end....

I'll post more photos from  my visit again to the "centrum of munich" and the concentration camp.
Tomorrow I'll visit the Neuschweinstein Castle with my mum, so when I come back, I'll upload more photos!
